GPS Location
In cases of Emergency, GPS location makes lone worker tracking of a man down worker a faster and more efficient process. The monitor is able to remotely view from any browser, a satellite map with the exact location of the distressed worker. Coordinates and even a snapshot image of the map can be forwarded to responders, as well as street location.



Hardware
Most modern cellular devices are already equipped with the GPS location phone hardware components to allow for location based services LBS locating. Some cellular service providers, however, don't provide an interface to retrieve and view this cell phone location GPS information. This is where the Lone Worker Safety Solutions comes in to provide the interface needed.

Technology
The location based service LBS system will preferentially use GPS location via satellite, for the most accurate coordinates. If satellite coverage is unavailable for some reason, the system will automatically switch over and triangulate the distressed workers position with near-by cellular towers. As a final backup, proximities can be given in the case of no satellite coverage and within range of only one cellular tower.
